Biografia
Jakub Słomkowski, born in 1982 in Warsaw. Visual and performance artist, as well as musician—he combines these three disciplines in his artistic practice and continually experiments with them. He studied Art History at the University of Warsaw and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2007.
“In the 21st century, with the knowledge we possess and our growing awareness, it is not worth remaining confined to a single idea or a single field of art. The access to materials and perspectives that we can draw on endlessly frightens me for one reason. Everything I have learned from the beginning of my artistic education to the end of my studies could be buried in the ground. Yet there is no need for that. The only question is what method we want to use to influence the minds of others.”
