Nowosielski's abstract painting stands rather to one side of his oeuvre, but for collectors it is often an object of desire, as it reaches auctions relatively rarely. Because of its decorative qualities and the underlying philosophy, or the author's concept, it is worth paying more attention to the abstractions. For Nowosielski even abstract paintings were icons, not so much because of their form as because of the very intention, the idea inscribed in the work of art. The artist creates in accordance with an inner impulse rather than mental calculation. In his concept the painter blurs the boundaries between the sacred and the profane, resulting in so-called secular icons. Art thereby makes possible contact with - as Nowosielski himself put it - the „heavenly powers”. (text by Roman Kaczkowski: Nowosielski's Abstractions in the magazine „Rynek i Sztuka”)
