Wallspace Gallery invites you to an exhibition of works by Jan Pamuła entitled The Shape of Reality. The exhibition will feature paintings consisting of systems and arrangements created using computer software. By following Jan Pamuła's creative path since the 1970s, attentive observers will discover what prompted the painter to adopt such innovative artistic solutions.The exhibition will run until 12 October. When observing Jan Pamuła's paintings, we are fortunate that the artist has taken care of the viewer's experience, their perception, and the possibility of a subjective or subjective way of perceiving colours and building their own systems on the lens of the eye. Thanks to the ‘language’ he used, consisting of basic elements – geometric figures: circles, squares, rectangles and triangles, as well as three primary colours complemented by black – he created a dictionary of eight symbols that is accessible to everyone. In this way, he fulfilled one of the conditions of his art – to achieve a universal language of communication – a way of influencing every viewer, albeit in a personally modified form for each individual. Thanks to the possibility of looking back at the painter's entire oeuvre, it is possible to draw this simple conclusion, which at the same time meets the basic requirements of visual art. One can also go a step further and ‘begin to read’ entire sentences, essays and treatises constructed from these symbols on the surface of Jan Pamuła's canvases.
